An excellent recap of yesterday’s event with St. Jude at the Louisville Zoo! A record-setting 1500 walkers turned out, despite the chilly weather to ‘give thanks’ and show their appreciation for the organization. It was an honor to provide services for such a great cause. We look forward to contributing to the success of many more St. Jude events in the future!

Trisha and Chris were the first couple to book for our 2013 season, and their August wedding was far worth the wait! From the first visit at their venue (My Old Kentucky Home in beautiful Bardstown, Kentucky), I could tell that Trisha and her father Dan were on the ball and preparing for an amazing event.
Just when we couldn’t have been any more in intrigued by Trisha’s plans, the groom secretly began making plans to assemble an entire band at the reception to serenade his new bride. Through phone calls, emails and lots of great planning, we were able to pull off not only an excellent reception, but also incorporate the surprise solo from Chris. He hit every note while proving his worthiness to the Weber family with a cover of Michael Buble’s “Everything”. At that point, his “ball and chain” (see pictures) were removed so that he and Trisha were free to celebrate the remainder of the evening with friends and family.
A big “Thanks” go out to everyone who was part of this epic event, especially members of the “Hampton Inn” band! We wish The Mr. and Mrs. nothing but the best in their new life together 🙂
You take an awesome couple, friends, family and one of Louisville’s finest museums. What do you get? One of the best weddings the summer of 2013 has seen! Jenn and Ryan were without a doubt one of our favorite couples to work with this year. From the start, Jenn emphasized that they wanted to keep their plans simple, yet fun and focused around the entertainment of their guests. Obviously we had no objections!
The Frazier Arms Museum provides a refreshing perspective on what an upscale wedding venue should be. Nearby and ample guest parking – Ceremony area with in-house audio system and breathtaking views – A cozy and accommodating reception area with partitioned sections that can be used for cocktails, dinner and dancing.
As friends and family made their way down from the ceremony on the rooftop garden, they were greeted by Masterson’s Catering staff who (as always) did a wonderful job of handling the bar and catering. From wedding party introductions leading into a tunnel formed by guests, to a custom made Bridesmaid Dance mix; Jenn and Ryan had tons of great ideas for the reception! When it came time to dance, there wasn’t a free spot to be found on the floor. They also chose to have a Photo Booth, so guests could leave a lasting impression as they took a break from the action.
Jenn and Ryan: You were truly a pleasure to work with and we wish you (and Kaleb) nothing but the best in your new life together!
If there is one thing to aim for when planning a wedding, it’s a comfortable atmosphere. It is the one aspect of the event that benefits nearly everyone in attendance; especially the wedding party! For some it comes easy, while others may have a tough time attaining it.
While you won’t find it on Google, creating “comfortable” has a lot to do with the family and friends you invite to share your wedding day with you. Does the demographic of your invitation list consist of every person you’ve ever known, or just those with whom you’ve grown close to throughout the years? If you are on the fence, I recommend siding with the latter option. Here’s why…
As I met with Megan to visit the wedding venue (The Shuck Farm), I could sense the excitement between the two families. They were bonding and coming together to support Megan and Kevin in their new life together. While discussing details of the anniversary dance, the couple knew (almost) without hesitation who on their invite list had been married the longest. When it came time for toasts; we heard some of the most sincere, heartfelt (and hilarious) words ever spoken.
What made all this possible? A smaller tight-knit crowd. Those presenting a toast were in good company, which allowed them to be themselves, relish the details and know their audience would follow along. The dance floor was full of familiar faces and inviting to those who might not have normally “cut a rug”. You couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere to celebrate the new life of a married couple. Though this is just my $.02 🙂
We send our well wishes to Kevin and Megan as you return from the honeymoon and begin your new life together. It was a pleasure to work with you, your family and friends on the biggest day of your lives. God bless!

The last week of June rolled through the Louisville area and brought along some patches of rough weather. When the Saturday of the 29th neared, it was unclear what to expect from the always unpredictable Mother Nature. As the storm clouds rolled in, it became clear that Jaclyn and Darrell’s love for one another remained unshaken.
Joined by family and their closest friends at Big Spring Country Club, they said “I Do” without a moment’s hesitation, while outside the rain began to pour. The reception then followed with cheerful fellowship, heartfelt toasts and celebration of two hearts that now beat as one. It was a pleasure to have been given the opportunity to entertain those in attendance, especially the Moehlmann and McGahan families. We wish Darrell and Jaclyn nothing but the best in their new life together!
